Lidköpings Biltjänst AB is an established player in car sales, rental, towing, and workshop services. We are an authorized dealer for Peugeot in Lidköping as well as Peugeot and Opel in Vara. In addition to our own brands, we service all car brands and collaborate with Avis car rental and Viking towing in Skaraborg, Trestad area, and on the West Coast.

Your tasks
As a car mechanic with us, you will work broadly and variedly. You will perform diagnostics, service, and repairs on both passenger cars and commercial vehicles from our own brands, but also other car brands through our collaboration with Autoexperten. You will also work to prepare new cars for delivery.

In your daily work, you will be involved in:
 

Service & repair:

• Perform service, maintenance, and repair work on passenger cars.
• Replace wear parts such as brakes, chassis components, exhaust systems, etc.
• Perform wheel alignment and handle balancing equipment.

Diagnostics:

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
• Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify problems.
• Conduct test drives to ensure correct functionality.

Documentation & customer process:

• Document completed work in the workshop system.
• Provide technical advice to customer reception and, if necessary, directly to customers.
• Follow procedures and guidelines for quality, warranty, and environment.

Safety & quality:

• Work according to industry safety requirements and manufacturer standards.
• Ensure that the work is of high quality and correctly performed.
• Contribute to a safe and orderly work environment
  
   

The position is full-time, during the day, starting as agreed. Depending on needs, the position may involve work at both the workshop in Lidköping and in Vara until the new premises are operational.

Your profile

We believe that previous experience of the above tasks from a car workshop, damage workshop, or similar is highly meritorious for succeeding in the role. Above all, it is your personal qualities that weigh the heaviest. We are looking for someone with an interest in technology, cars, and customer contact who enjoys a varied job content where you work closely with your colleagues. You are meticulous in your approach and have the curiosity and willingness required to keep up in a rapidly evolving industry. You thrive in a role that combines service, structure, and problem-solving where you choose to see challenges as something fun and exciting.

Fluent knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, basic IT skills, and a B driver's license for manual cars are prerequisites for the position.
